Church Building Expansion/Renovation Project
The expansion and renovation project to our church building was completed in August 2008. The new elevator has been a Godsend for some of our parishioners and guests. The handicap-accessible restrooms on the main level have been a welcome addition. The new sewer line has eliminated backups and odor problems. The addition at the rear of the church provides a new church office and priest's office as well as a conference room and storage space. The circular roadway and added parking spaces has proven to be very convenient to access the lower level. Completed drainage work has alleviated the past problem of water gathering at the rear of the church.
Financial Update A pledge campaign was instituted to pay down the debt of the construction costs. Phase I of this campaign raised almost $420,000 during 2006-2009. A second campaign has begun for 2009-2012. Thus far, pledges for this campaign have amounted to only $73,480. We currently owe the bank nearly $215,000 for our renovations. Your pledge and payment will help reduce the principle balance and the daily interest cost of approximately $39.
A contribution to the Building Expansion Project can be made in a single payment or pledged over three years (2010-2012). For more information, please contact the church office at (518) 274-3673.
Thank you. And we look forward to serving the Armenian community of the Capital District in upstate New York for many years to come.
